Record #116861:

Vertical transport of water ice at low latitudes in the Martian atmosphere / E. Chassefière, J.E. Blamont.

Title: Vertical transport of water ice at low latitudes in the Martian atmosphere / E. Chassefière, J.E. Blamont.
Author(s): Chassefière, E.
Blamont, J. E.
Date: 1992.
In: Geophysical Research Letters. (1992.), Vol. 19(9) (1992)
Abstract: Based on solar occultation measurements made from Phobos 2 spacecraft, which show that two condensation levels for H₂O are generally present at 15 and 50 km altitude at low latitudes. Suggests that sublimation level (boundary between saturated region and non-saturated layer below clouds) is close to 35 km altitude. Existence of sublimation level is consequence of two condensation levels.
