Katabatic wind intensity and direction over Antarctica derived from scatterometer data / F. Rémy, M. Ledroit, J.F. Minster.
Title: | Katabatic wind intensity and direction over Antarctica derived from scatterometer data / F. Rémy, M. Ledroit, J.F. Minster. |
Author(s): | Rémy, F. Ledroit, M. Minster, J. F. |
Date: | 1992. |
In: | Geophysical Research Letters. (1992.), Vol. 19(10) (1992) |
Abstract: | Empirical study demonstrates use of satellite radar scatterometer observations above ice sheets to provide maps of surface roughness on small to microscopic scales and of katabatic wind intensity and direction. Data provided for Wilkes Land sector between 150° and 90° E and between 72° and 66° S. |
Notes: | Geophysical Research Letters. Vol. 19(10) :1021-1024 (1992). |
