Record #116709:

Stagnant glacier ice, St. Elias Mountains, Yukon / P.G. Johnson.

Title: Stagnant glacier ice, St. Elias Mountains, Yukon / P.G. Johnson.
Author(s): Johnson, P. G.
Date: 1992.
In: Geografiska Annaler. Series A. Physical Geography. (1992.), Vol. 74A(1) (1992)
Abstract: Describes ice-cored landforms and deposits of neoglacial and Little Ice Age periods. Incorporation of ice in landforms and moraines occurs during glacier surges, glacier advance, or glacier backwasting, as well as during stagnation. Degradation is controlled by hydrological and glaciological processes, which expose ice core, rather than by nelt beneath surficial materials.
