Canadian ice cores as sources of environmental data / Roy M. Koerner, Bea Taylor Alt, J.C. Bourgeois, David A. Fisher.

Title: Canadian ice cores as sources of environmental data / Roy M. Koerner, Bea Taylor Alt, J.C. Bourgeois, David A. Fisher.
Author(s): Koerner, Roy M.
Alt, Bea Taylor.
Bourgeois, J. C.
Fisher, David A.
Date: 1991.
Publisher: Fairbanks, AK: University of Alaska, Geophysical Institute/Centre for Global Change and Arctic System Research
In: International Conference on the Role of the Polar Regions in Global Change : proceedings of a conference held June 11-15, 1990 at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. (1991.), Vol. 2.
Abstract: Because they are relatively thin (100 to 500 m), cores from ice caps in Canadian high Arctic are suited to study of ice dynamics and rheology. Drilling is simpler, although resolution may be poor in ice older than 5 to 10 ka. Presents some results from Meighen Island and Devon and Agassiz ice caps.
