| Abstract: | Investigation on Sary Tor glacier, Tyan'-Shan', Kirgizstan. About 60% of total annual precipitation falls between June and August, of which up to 95% consists of snow at altitudes of 3800 to 3900 m. Above this height, precipitation is 100% snow. Discusses effect of intensity of snowfall on regime of glacier, dynamics of seasonal snow line, and ablation and runoff. |
