| Abstract: | Purpose was to study influence of basal sediments, basal thermal regime, and topography on Holocene fluctuations of area near Søndre Strømfjord, between Isúnguata sermia to north, valley of Ørkendalen to south, Russell Glacier to east and airfield to west. This area illustrates effects of glacier fluctuations during past 8 ka; special attention is paid to very recent developments at ice margin. Work will continue here. |
