Эрозионно-аккумулятивная деятельность ледников северного Тянь-Шаня в малом ледниковом периоде

Title: Эрозионно-аккумулятивная деятельность ледников северного Тянь-Шаня в малом ледниковом периоде
Title, transliterated: Ėrozionno-akkumuli︠a︡tivnai︠a︡ dei︠a︡telʹnostʹ lednikov severnogo Ti︠a︡nʹ-Shani︠a︡ v malom lednikovom periode / A.V. Orlov.
Translated title: Erosive-accumulative activity of glaciers of northern Tyan'-Shan' in the Little Ice Age.
Author(s): Orlov, A. V.
Date: 1991.
Language: Russian.
In: Materialy Gli︠a︡t︠s︡iologicheskikh Issledovaniĭ. (1991.), Vol. 71 (1991)
Abstract: Discusses precise criteria for separation of super- and subglacial debris. Analysis of composition of subglacial debris made it possible to identify zone of maximum exaration of basal rock and to reconstruct dynamics during Little Ice Age, related to significant changes in extent of glaciers during advance and retreat. Concentration of subglacial debris occurs at margins of glacier under actively moving ice. Disintegration of debris fragments is caused mainly by processes of milling and abrasion.
