Record #113690:
Creep and yield model of ice under combined stress / Anatoly M. Fish.
Title: | Creep and yield model of ice under combined stress / Anatoly M. Fish. |
Author(s): | Fish, Anatoly M. |
Date: | 1991. |
In: | CRREL Special Report. (1991.), Vol. 91-31 (1991) |
Abstract: | Constitutive equations and strength criteria were developed for ice in multiaxial stress state. Equations developed describe entire creep process (primary, secondary, tertiary) at constant stresses and strain rates in terms of normalized (dimensionless) time. Model has been verified using test data on yield of polycrystalline ice at -11.8°C and on creep of saline ice at -5°C, both under triaxuial compression. |
Notes: | CRREL Special Report. Vol. 91-31 :iii, 1-14 (1991). |
Keywords: | 551.32 -- Glaciology. 551.322 -- Ice and snow. 539.37 -- Ice, plastic and viscous deformation. 539.42 -- Ice, tensile strength. 519.673 -- Modelling. E4 -- Glaciology: physics and chemistry of ice. |
