Record #113230:

The ICE-3G model of Late Pleistocene deglaciation: construction, verification, and applications / William R. Peltier.

Title: The ICE-3G model of Late Pleistocene deglaciation: construction, verification, and applications / William R. Peltier.
Author(s): Peltier, William R.
Date: 1991.
Publisher: Dordrecht: Kluwer Academic Publishers
In: Glacial isostasy, sea-level and mantle rheology. (1991.),
Abstract: Refined model (ICE-3G) is constructed by using large set (192) of ¹⁴C controlled time series of relative sea-level change from sites that were covered by ice at Würm-Wisconsin maximum. Relative sea-level histories at these sites are predicted using theoretical model of postglacial rebound with assumed known mantle viscosity and with ice-thickness variations adjusted to achieve best fit to observations. Global validity of model is confirmed by comparing theoretical predictions with observations for 200 relative sea-level times for non-ice-covered sites.
