Abstract: Presents results from experimental programme aimed at establishing feasibility and/or effectiveness of enhancing flexural behaviour of ice by means of continuous strands of spun fibre-glass yarn reinforcement, with and without pre-tensioning. Details of tests, including specimen, procedure and equipment, and some of data obtained, are summarized and evaluated.
