Cloud schemes and the simulation of Arctic surface insolation and sea ice in the UKMO climate model / Howard Cattle.
Title: | Cloud schemes and the simulation of Arctic surface insolation and sea ice in the UKMO climate model / Howard Cattle. |
Author(s): | Cattle, Howard. |
Date: | 1991. |
In: | WCRP (Series). (1991.), WCRP-62(appendix C) (1991) |
Abstract: | Nature of radiation and cloud schemes used in UK Meteorological Office atmospheric general circulation model (AGCM) is summarized, and simulation of surface insolation over high latitudes of northern hemisphere in summer is outlined. Also demonstrates sensitivity of sea-ice simulation in runs of AGCM coupled to ocean and sea-ice models. |
Notes: | WCRP (Series). WCRP-62(appendix C) :58-61 (1991). WMO/TD-442. |
