Record #113069:

A preliminary forecast of the advance of Hubbard Glacier and its influence on Russell Fiord, Alaska / Dennis C. Trabant, Robert M. Krimmel, Austin Post.

Title: A preliminary forecast of the advance of Hubbard Glacier and its influence on Russell Fiord, Alaska / Dennis C. Trabant, Robert M. Krimmel, Austin Post.
Author(s): Trabant, Dennis C.
Krimmel, Robert M.
Post, Austin.
Date: 1991.
In: US Geological Survey. Water-Resources Investigations Report. (1991.), Vol. 90-4172 (1991)
Abstract: Summarizes events so far and reviews likely developments. Glacier will almost certainly block fjord during 1990s. Former fjord will then be blocked by fresh-water inflow until it overflows into Situk River. After series of dams and failures, blockage is expected to be stable for hundreds of years and increase flow of river ten-fold.
