Record #113051:

Ice-free anemometer: laboratory and field testing / S.G. Krishnasamy, J. Motycka.

Title: Ice-free anemometer: laboratory and field testing / S.G. Krishnasamy, J. Motycka.
Author(s): Krishnasamy, S. G.
Motycka, J.
Date: 1991.
Publisher: Ottawa: Environment Canada
In: Proceedings of the Third International Workshop on the Atmospheric Icing of Structures, 6-8 May 1986, Vancouver, Canada. (1991.),
Abstract: Instrument tested in wind tunnel. Tests indicate that 25 W heater is adequate to keep anemometer ice-free during freezing rain, but 50 W heater will be required at very low temperatures. Instrument being tested underestimated wind speeds when these were higher than 10 m s⁻¹.
Notes:

In: Proceedings of the Third International Workshop on the Atmospheric Icing of Structures, 6-8 May 1986, Vancouver, Canada / Leslie E. Welsh, D.J. Armstrong, eds.

Keywords: 551.5 -- Meteorology.
551.508.5 -- Wind, meteorological instruments.
624.143.54 -- De-icing methods, thermal.
D -- Atmospheric sciences.
