Record #113047:

Development of a composite technique in the determination of the tensile strength of impact ices / R.J. Scavuzzo, M.L. Chu, P. Lam.

Title: Development of a composite technique in the determination of the tensile strength of impact ices / R.J. Scavuzzo, M.L. Chu, P. Lam.
Author(s): Scavuzzo, R. J.
Chu, M. L.
Lam, P.
Date: 1991.
Publisher: Ottawa: Environment Canada
In: Proceedings of the Third International Workshop on the Atmospheric Icing of Structures, 6-8 May 1986, Vancouver, Canada. (1991.),
Abstract: Study relates to mechanical de-icing systems for aircraft. Attempts to develop apparatus measurements inside icing tunnel. Two specific properties are sought: Young's modulus and ultimate tensile strength on impact ice at direction transverse to direction of ice growth.
Notes:

In: Proceedings of the Third International Workshop on the Atmospheric Icing of Structures, 6-8 May 1986, Vancouver, Canada / Leslie E. Welsh, D.J. Armstrong, eds.
