Ice accretion data for model evaluation / Richard J. Kolomeychuk, Gilles C. Castonguay, Leslie E. Welsh.

Title: Ice accretion data for model evaluation / Richard J. Kolomeychuk, Gilles C. Castonguay, Leslie E. Welsh.
Author(s): Kolomeychuk, Richard J.
Castonguay, Gilles C.
Welsh, Leslie E.
Date: 1991.
Publisher: Ottawa: Environment Canada
In: Proceedings of the Third International Workshop on the Atmospheric Icing of Structures, 6-8 May 1986, Vancouver, Canada. (1991.),
Abstract: Nine atmospheric icing models were evaluated for development of improved system for providing ice-load estimates for design of transmission lines in Canada. Models provide ice loadings on cables in conditions of freezing rain, in-cloud icing, and wet snow. Icing data from utilities and research establishments in North America were archived in database system designed to test performance of models. At present, there is sufficient information for evaluation of freezing rain.
