| Abstract: | Requires precise information on rate of snowmelt delivery to soil surface and drainage courses where erosion may occur. Develops modular approach to snowmelt modelling that can combine and interchange components from several popular energy balance and temperature index models. Comparisons made against data from SNOTEL sites in western USA as well as experimental sites where more detailed data are available. Various models and model combinations are evaluated to determine most appropriate combination. |
