| Abstract: | Widely distributed in this area and of Middle to Late Holocene age. During summer 1985-86, main beaches were surveyed, and information obtained on height of marine limit, morphology of beach surfaces, and composition of beach deposits. Shells were collected for ¹⁴C dating. Total Holocene uplift estimated at 47 m. Last glaciation ice cover was thin, probably <300 m. |
