The indirect method of field ice-force measurement and data processing programmes for multi-degree of freedom structures / Qingzeng Shi, Zhigang Shi.
Title: | The indirect method of field ice-force measurement and data processing programmes for multi-degree of freedom structures / Qingzeng Shi, Zhigang Shi. |
Author(s): | Shi, Qingzeng. Shi, Zhigang. |
Date: | 1991. |
Publisher: | St. John's, Newfoundland: Memorial University of Newfoundland, Ocean Engineering Research Centre |
In: | POAC'91 : the 11th International Conference on Port and Ocean Engineering under Arctic Conditions, September 24-28, 1991, St. John's, Canada. (1991.), Vol.1. |
Abstract: | Compares direct and indirect methods, and develops new method of calculating ice forces from acceleration and strain responses of multi-degree of freedom structure. Two computer programs are developed for calculation of ice forces from acceleration and strain responses, and ice-tank tests using model of jacket platform, scale 1:50, were carried out. Results of indirect method are acceptable. |
