| Abstract: | Overview of field experiment on spray ice island in Mackenzie River delta, constructed winter 1988-89, to assess feasibility of protection from spring thaw and wave erosion. Materials used included rope nets, tarpaulins, vinyl sheets, gravel and sawdust. Layout is described. Results showed that protection was possible. |
