Abstract: | Presents two theoretical models which allow computing efficiency with which aerosol particles are collected by simple ice-crystal plates. Investigates effect of possible internal electric charge distribution in ice crystals on scavenging. Shows that capture efficiency is considerable affected by internal electric charge distribution in aerosol size range 0.05<=r<=1.0 μm. These theoretical results agree satisfactorily with field observations. |
