| Abstract: | 28 cloud-free Landsat scenes were selected to permit validation for range of sea-ice concentrations and types, object being to demonstrate quantitative relationship between SSM/I-derived parameters and those same parameters derived from other higher-resolution data, including visible Landsat imagery and aircraft photography. Another concern is how accuracy with which these parameters are determined varies between different regions and over different seasons. |
