Record #112786:

Parameterization of salinity profiles of Antarctic sea ice field and model results / Hajo Eicken, Manfred A. Lange.

Title: Parameterization of salinity profiles of Antarctic sea ice field and model results / Hajo Eicken, Manfred A. Lange.
Author(s): Eicken, Hajo.
Lange, Manfred A.
Date: 1991.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1991.), Vol. 72(51, supplement) (1991)
Abstract: Abstract presented at AGU 1992 Ocean Sciences Meeting, 27-31 January, New Orleans, LA. To describe and compare trends in salinity profiles, third-degree polynomials were fitted to profiles of 120 cores collected in Weddell Sea. Four characteristic profile shapes were recognized and are described. Explains causes of high and low salinities of sea ice.
