| Abstract: | Research programme designed specifically to improve ice surveillance. Presents examples of improved detection made possible by using full radar signal properties of amplitude, phase (Doppler) and polarization, compared to current marine radars which use amplitude only. System has other applications, such as search-and-rescue. |
