Long range forecast of iceberg flux across 48°N: a new perspective / John F. Newell.
Title: | Long range forecast of iceberg flux across 48°N: a new perspective / John F. Newell. |
Author(s): | Newell, John F. |
Date: | 1991. |
Publisher: | St. John's, Newfoundland: Memorial University of Newfoundland, Ocean Engineering Research Centre |
In: | POAC'91 : the 11th International Conference on Port and Ocean Engineering under Arctic Conditions, September 24-28, 1991, St. John's, Canada. (1991.), Vol.2. |
Abstract: | Examines statistical relationship between iceberg flux across 48°N and air temperatures at Godthåb, Greenland, and concludes that there is previously unrecognized, statistically significant relationship between atmospheric conditions along west coast of Greenland during May and flux of icebergs on Grand Banks of Newfoundland during following spring. |
