| Abstract: | Describes ways of dealing with uncertainties in estimates of expected natural conditions in Arctic, and influence on navigation efficiency and safety, which have been developed at Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute, St Petersberg. Takes into account climate changes combined with basic regularities of ice distribution along Arctic navigation routes at different seasons. Indices of difficulty of navigation are calculated. |
