Abstract: | Prediction of excess pore pressures caused by thawing of frozen soils leading to consolidation. Presents concepts and methodology for performing uncertainty analysis and evaluating reliability of prediction. Numerical experiments carried out with different input parameters, and example with realistic design conditions is worked out. |
