Record #112719:
Arctic air pollution as reflected in snowpits and ice cores / Cliff I. Davidson, Jean-Luc Jaffrezo, Paul A. Mayewski.
Title: | Arctic air pollution as reflected in snowpits and ice cores / Cliff I. Davidson, Jean-Luc Jaffrezo, Paul A. Mayewski. |
Author(s): | Davidson, Cliff I. Jaffrezo, Jean-Luc. Mayewski, Paul A. |
Date: | 1991. |
Publisher: | London: Elsevier Science |
In: | Pollution of the Arctic atmosphere. (1991.), |
Abstract: | Deals with anthropogenic pollutants, excluding soot and several organic vapours. Discusses factors influencing chemical constituents in glacial snow and ice, including macroscale phenomena such as long-range transport and microscale phenomena such as deposition processes. Several examples of glacial record data for Arctic are reviewed. Data are categorized by chemical constituents, with separate subsections for anions and cations, trace metals, radionuclides, and trace gases. |
