| Abstract: | Examines fluctuations in level of TSH, T₃, T₄ and total cholesterol by comparing two groups of north Siberian peoples, aboriginal males (Nentsy) and "native" males, at different photoperiods of year. Attempts to relate annual fluctuations of hormone levels of hypophysiothyroid system and cholesterol with variations in amount of daylight. Paper presented at Nordic Conference on Cold, Tromsø, January 1991. |
