Record #112566:
Modeling and observation of polarimetric SAR response to wet snow / J.C. Shi, Jeff Dozier, R.E. Davis.
Title: | Modeling and observation of polarimetric SAR response to wet snow / J.C. Shi, Jeff Dozier, R.E. Davis. |
Author(s): | Shi, J. C. Dozier, Jeff. Davis, R. E. |
Date: | 1991. |
In: | Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1991.), Vol. 72(44, supplement) (1991) |
Abstract: | AGU Fall Meeting Program and Abstracts, December 9-13, 1991. Active microwave sensors show sensitivity to snowpack parameters and have spatial resolution compatible with topographic variation in Alpine regions. Data from airborne polarimetric SAR over glaciers in Ötztal Alpen, Austria, were analyzed and polarimetric model developed, which provides physical insight into mechanisms by which radar waves are scattered. |
Notes: | Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. Vol. 72(44, supplement) :190 (1991). |
