Title: Ice core evidence of climatic change since the Little Ice Age: evidence for recent warming in central Asia / Lonnie G. Thompson, Ellen Mosley-Thompson, N.P. Lin, M.E. Davis, J. Dai, T. Yao.

Date: 1991.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1991.), Vol. 72(44, supplement) (1991)
Abstract: AGU Fall Meeting Program and Abstracts, December 9-13, 1991. Temperature records inferred from δ¹⁸O analyses of three ice caps (Dunde, Guliya and Gregoriyev) provide strong evidence for significant warming in last 50 years (1937-87). Using longest record from Dunde ice cap, China, 50-year δ¹⁸O averages for last 12,000 years were calculated and indicate that recent warming in central Asia is unprecedented.
