| Abstract: | AGU Fall Meeting Program and Abstracts, December 9-13, 1991. Temperature history reconstructed from ¹⁸O data calibrated against bore-hole temperature record. Core dated by counting annual variations in ¹⁸O ratios, light transmissivity (visual appearance), and electrical conductivity, tied to deposits of volcanos of known age identified by electrical conductivity. Accumulation rates calculated from annual layer thicknesses, corrected for measured density and slight layer thinning from ice flow. |
