| Abstract: | AGU Fall Meeting Program and Abstracts, December 9-13, 1991. Describes method based on data from Arctic Data Buoy Program archive, 1979-90. Ice velocity is displayed as vectors superimposed on contours of sea-level air pressure and sea-ice concentration. Value of method is mainly educational. Features such as wind-driven anticyclonic ice motion in basin, ocean current-driven ice motion through Fram Strait, and effects of wind on pack are demonstrated. |
