Abstract: AGU Fall Meeting Program and Abstracts, December 9-13, 1991. Also studies influence on forcings and fluxes between marine environment and atmosphere. Incorporates AVHRR satellite images, field observations, hydrologic measurements, meteorological data, and modelling to investigate influence of river (Mackenzie) discharge on albedo, thermal balance, and distribution of sea ice. Resulting analysis provides basis for investigating significance of hydrologic cycle in Arctic Basin and its influence on regional climate.
