Record #112527:

Late Wisconsin and Early Holocene glacial history, inner Ross Embayment, Antarctica / George H. Denton, James G. Bockheim, Scott C. Wilson, Minze Stuiver.

Title: Late Wisconsin and Early Holocene glacial history, inner Ross Embayment, Antarctica / George H. Denton, James G. Bockheim, Scott C. Wilson, Minze Stuiver.
Author(s): Denton, George H.
Bockheim, James G.
Wilson, Scott C.
Stuiver, Minze.
Date: 1991.
Publisher: Washington, DC: National Aeronautics and Space Administration
In: West Antarctic Ice Sheet Initiative. Volume 2 : discipline reviews. Proceedings of a workshop ... held at Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Maryland, October 16-18, 1990. (1991.),
Abstract: Describes Late Quaternary palaeoclimate, ice-volume change, and dynamics of Ross ice-drainage system using data from drift-sheet and ice-core investigations. New ice-surface profiles from Transantarctic Mountains show deficiencies in all existing reconstructions; new reconstructions are presented of minimum and maximum extent of grounded ice in Ross Embayment permitted by glacial geologic data from adjacent Transantarctic Mountains.
