Record #112519:

Formation of De Geer moraines and implications for deglaciation dynamics / Eiliv Larsen, Oddvar Longva, Bjørn A. Follestad.

Title: Formation of De Geer moraines and implications for deglaciation dynamics / Eiliv Larsen, Oddvar Longva, Bjørn A. Follestad.
Author(s): Larsen, Eiliv.
Longva, Oddvar.
Follestad, Bjørn A.
Date: 1991.
In: Journal of Quaternary Science : JQS. (1991.), Vol. 6(4) (1991)
Abstract: Two theories of formation: either marginally, by glacier push at grounding line, or subglacially, by material being squeezed up into basal crevasses in ice sheet. On basis of excavations in Norway across three ridges in two areas, former theory is strongly favoured.
Notes:

Journal of Quaternary Science : JQS. Vol. 6(4) :263-277 (1991).

Keywords: 551.33 -- Glacial geology.
551.332.52 -- Moraines, terminal and recessional.
E7 -- Glaciology: glacial geology and ice ages.
(*58) -- Norway.
