Record #112485:

Synoptic and seasonal variations of the ice--ocean circulation in the Arctic: a numerical study / Alex Warn-Varnas, Richard Allard, Steve Piacsek.

Title: Synoptic and seasonal variations of the ice--ocean circulation in the Arctic: a numerical study / Alex Warn-Varnas, Richard Allard, Steve Piacsek.
Author(s): Warn-Varnas, Alex.
Allard, Richard.
Piacsek, Steve.
Date: 1991.
In: Annals of Glaciology. (1991.), Vol. 15 (1991)
Abstract: Three-dimensional coupled model used, which incorporated turbulent mixed-layer model, and was forced with daily GCM-derived 12-h atmospheric fluxes. In particular, momentum transfer and circulation response to transient winds and heat fluxes were examined, and initial study made of synoptic and seasonal variabilities of ice-drift motion, Ekman transport and barotropic currents.
