| Abstract: | Field investigation of icing on vertical steel pipe, on experimental structure in Sea of Japan in January 1988. As well as photographs, simultaneous measurements were made of waves, and of air and water temperatures. Found that barrel- and curtain-types of icing shapes were formed, icing occurred when air temperature was <-4°C, and location of icing is affected by conditions of wave heights and wind velocities. |
