Record #112450:

Permafrost and ground ice conditions reported during recent geotechnical investigations in the Mayo district, Yukon Territory / C.R. Burn.

Title: Permafrost and ground ice conditions reported during recent geotechnical investigations in the Mayo district, Yukon Territory / C.R. Burn.
Author(s): Burn, C. R.
Date: 1991.
In: Permafrost and Periglacial Processes. (1991.), Vol. 2(3) (1991)
Abstract: Discontinuous permafrost: thickness up to 40 m in valleys and 135 m at higher elevations. Distribution is sensitive to aspect, and varies with nature of glacial deposits (fine-grained lacustrine and outwash materials contain large amounts of segregated ice, whereas coarser outwash is relatively ice-poor). Geothermal flux in region is over 0.1 W m⁻².
Notes:

Permafrost and Periglacial Processes. Vol. 2(3) :259-268 (1991).

Keywords: 551.34 -- Geocryology. Frozen ground.
