| Abstract: | Activity of 1200 km long segment of margin of Greenland ice sheet, extending along west and south coasts, was investigated for 1950 and 1985. In 1950, major parts of ice margin were thinning and receding, and advances were confined to restricted highland areas. By 1985, marginal advances were widespread. |
