Record #112236:
Signature of burst particle precipitation on VLF signals propagating in the Antarctic Earth-ionosphere waveguide / P.D. Cotton, A.J. Smith.
Title: | Signature of burst particle precipitation on VLF signals propagating in the Antarctic Earth-ionosphere waveguide / P.D. Cotton, A.J. Smith. |
Author(s): | Cotton, P. D. Smith, A. J. |
Date: | 1991. |
In: | Journal of Geophysical Research. (1991.), Vol. 96(A11) (1991) |
Abstract: | Presents new and detailed analysis of effect of burst precipitation of electrons on propagation of VLF signals (f = 3.79 kHz). Uses one-dimensional computer waveguide propagation model to establish characteristics of unperturbed signal as it travels to various sites, here concerned chiefly with Halley and South Pole. |
Notes: | Journal of Geophysical Research. Vol. 96(A11) :19, 375-19, 387 (1991). |
