Record #112181:

Genetic variation in transferrin as a predictor for differentiation and evolution of caribou from eastern Canada / Knut H. Røed, Michael A.D. Ferguson, Michel Crête, Tom A. Bergerud.

Title: Genetic variation in transferrin as a predictor for differentiation and evolution of caribou from eastern Canada / Knut H. Røed, Michael A.D. Ferguson, Michel Crête, Tom A. Bergerud.
Author(s): Røed, Knut H.
Ferguson, Michael A. D.
Crête, Michel.
Bergerud, Tom A.
Date: 1991.
In: Rangifer. (1991.), Vol. 11(2) (1991)
Abstract: Uses transferrin allele frequencies: 1. to test extent to which caribou in northern Québec and Labrador are distinct from woodland and barren-ground caribou; 2. to assess whether degree of genetic differentiation between woodland caribou and tundra reindeer/caribou supports hypothesis of their different origin; 3. to assess degree of genetic differentiation between Baffin Island caribou and barren-ground caribou from Canadian mainland.
