Record #112084:

Experimental studies of the motion of temperate ice through layers of abrading clasts: implications for basal till accumulation and abrasion / Neal R. Iverson.

Title: Experimental studies of the motion of temperate ice through layers of abrading clasts: implications for basal till accumulation and abrasion / Neal R. Iverson.
Author(s): Iverson, Neal R.
Date: 1991.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1991.), Vol. 72(44, supplement) (1991)
Abstract: AGU Fall Meeting Program and Abstracts, December 9-13, 1991. Results of laboratory experiments suggest that initiation of till layer from dense debris in basal ice should occur only where basal melt rates exceed critical value. They also provide means of comparing certain aspects of abrasion mechanics for cases of dense and sparse debris in basal ice.
