Record #112083:

Black Rapids Glacier, Alaska - unexpected behavior during the quiescent phase of a surge-type glacier / T.A. Heinrichs, L.R. Mayo, Keith Echelmeyer, William D. Harrison.

Title: Black Rapids Glacier, Alaska - unexpected behavior during the quiescent phase of a surge-type glacier / T.A. Heinrichs, L.R. Mayo, Keith Echelmeyer, William D. Harrison.
Author(s): Heinrichs, T. A.
Mayo, L. R.
Echelmeyer, Keith.
Harrison, William D.
Date: 1991.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1991.), Vol. 72(44, supplement) (1991)
Abstract: AGU Fall Meeting Program and Abstracts, December 9-13, 1991. Glacier surged in 1937 and has been monitored since 1973. Behaviour in quiescent phase is different from that of Variegated Glacier, in that velocity has displayed cyclic fluctuations. Suggests that changes in basal boundary conditions control these fluctuations.
