Record #112071:

Modelling englacial temperatures for Jakobshavns Isbrae / Martin Funk, Almut Iken, Keith Echelmeyer, William D. Harrison.

Title: Modelling englacial temperatures for Jakobshavns Isbrae / Martin Funk, Almut Iken, Keith Echelmeyer, William D. Harrison.
Author(s): Funk, Martin.
Iken, Almut.
Echelmeyer, Keith.
Harrison, William D.
Date: 1991.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1991.), Vol. 72(44, supplement) (1991)
Abstract: AGU Fall Meeting Program and Abstracts, December 9-13, 1991. Complex temperature regime caused by rapid flow of ice stream. Temperature model solves two-dimensional steady-state temperature field for prescribed surface and bed topography. Model is applied to flow along centre line in ice stream as well as to flow in ice sheet, well outside stream. Main difference is appearance of more pronounced temperate layer in stream than in sheet.
