| Abstract: | By means of moraine analysis, attempt is made to develop chronology of postglacial environmental (climatic) history of area. Two glacial advances can be dated to between 6.0 and 4.8 ka BP and between 3.4 and 2.8 ka BP. Suggests names Vatnsdalur I and II for these advances. Besides these, there are remnants of older advances during early postglacial period. |
