Record #112048:

Thermoluminescence dating of Late Pleistocene sediments related to till-covered eskers from Ostrobothnia, Finland / Jouko Niemelä, Högne Jungner.

Title: Thermoluminescence dating of Late Pleistocene sediments related to till-covered eskers from Ostrobothnia, Finland / Jouko Niemelä, Högne Jungner.
Author(s): Niemelä, Jouko.
Jungner, Högne.
Date: 1991.
In: Geological Survey of Finland. Special Paper. (1991.), Vol. 12 (1991)
Abstract: Twelve TL dates were obtained of fine-grained sediments from till-covered eskers at six localities. On basis of results, age of sediments beneath Weichselian till ranges from 115 to 159 ka BP, representing Early Weichselian, Eemian interglacial, or Late Saalian deposition. Esker formations beneath dated sediments therefore belong to Saalian glaciation.
