Record #112045:
A temperature history for south central Greenland by the adjoint trajectory method / J.F. Firestone.
Title: | A temperature history for south central Greenland by the adjoint trajectory method / J.F. Firestone. |
Author(s): | Firestone, J. F. |
Date: | 1991. |
In: | Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1991.), Vol. 72(44, supplement) (1991) |
Abstract: | AGU Fall Meeting Program and Abstracts, December 9-13, 1991. Temperature-depth profile measured at Dye 3 bore hole and chemical isotope variations measured in Dye 3 ice core provide two independent records of past climate in southern Greenland. These data are used to construct temperature history for Greenland from Late Wisconsin to present. Finite-element heat-flow model is used, applying optimal control methods to invert data sets: first, to produce simple temperature history, and, second, to estimate uncertainty. |
Notes: | Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. Vol. 72(44, supplement) :171 (1991). |
