Abstract: AGU Fall Meeting Program and Abstracts, December 9-13, 1991. Inverse methods used to derive scenario for ice sheet in north-west Greenland, based on ice-core data from Camp Century. Simple, kinematic, flowline model used, and variation with depth computed in core of layer thickness and elevation of origin while altering ice thickness, flow divergence, divide position and accumulation rate as function of time. Elevations of origin are converted to total gas volume for comparison with data. Uncertainty in best-fit parameters are computed and glaciological implications of scenario are discussed.
