Record #112043:

Estimating errors in velocities and stresses calculated at depth in glacier / David B. Bahr.

Title: Estimating errors in velocities and stresses calculated at depth in glacier / David B. Bahr.
Author(s): Bahr, David B.
Date: 1991.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1991.), Vol. 72(44, supplement) (1991)
Abstract: AGU Fall Meeting Program and Abstracts, December 9-13, 1991. Errors at depth are introduced by errors in surface boundary condition data. By specifying delta perturbations in stresses at surface, new "top-down" model may be used to calculate Green's functions at glacier bed, which can induce such delta perturbations at surface. By convolving over Green's functions, estimates of surface data error are then used to estimate error distributions at glacier bed and thereby place bounds on accuracy of velocities and stresses at depth.
