520 3# ‡aMoraine ridges crossing valleys of Lejrelv and Gåseelv, in Hurry Fjord/Klitdal area of Scoresby Sund, appear to be terminal moraines of ice cap centred on Liverpool Land and advancing west. Sediments deposited in glacier-dammed lakes occur west of ridges. Deltas at successively lower altitudes are conspicuous to east. Bedrock of Jameson Land is made up of sandstones and shales, whereas bedrock of mountains on Liverpool Land is crystalline: certain crystalline clasts in deposits thus indicate ice advancing from east.
